Quinto dos Infernos!

Financial slavery, state-financial surveillance, and some history

This here is the death of Joaquim José da Silva Xavier. Known in Brazil as "Tiradentes", literally meaning tooth puller, tooth taker, etc, because he was a dentist.

Tiradentes was executed today in 1792. April 21, 1792.

I do not sympathize much with the ideas of the Inconfidentes, from the Inconfidência Mineira, for which Tiradentes is considered a martyr. But I do sympathize with this one thing:

QUINTO DOS INFERNOS!

It literally means "the fifths from hell!", because the gold mined in the province of Minas Geraes in the colony of Brazil was taxed to the fifth part (20%).

They revolted. And they were killed, imprisoned, and faced the state's 'justice'.

Nowadays there are not so many Inconfidentes around. And we are taxed even more thoroughly and savagely than at that time.

I believe that today, so many modern "conveniences" have castrated the modern citizen from revolting.

The modern citizen is taxed to the death, and gets scraps of what they produce, which gets stolen by this financial slavery system.

This is not only a problem of the modern state, L’État moderne, but from the 21st century onwards, there are many institutions, private institutions, that participate in this evil endeavour.

Money has been worthless since the 1971 Nixon Shock.

The modern taxation problem is just one façade. The problem is financial corruption. The money is corrupted, and everything that's built upon it gets corrupted.

Banking and loans, for example, deteriorated and caused the 2008 financial crisis.

The covid pandemic brought another thing upon this deranged system: interest rate craze and M2 expansion like never before, across most states.

There is a constant tension about anchored expectations. Do you really trust the CPI? Does it really mirror what is really happening, or does it sugarcoat it?

The quinto dos infernos nowadays is what? We are taxed at least 50%, compounding everything - income, sales tax, property tax, car tax, tariffs.

And we do not revolt anymore. We just live the 'novo normal', things as they are.

And this is the world we will pass on to the next generation.

So let's not sugarcoat it. This is modern slavery: financial slavery. And these are things as they are.

Do you also hate the fifths from hell?
